– Singles Match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship: Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley
Spectacular entrances for both queens of the SmackDown Women’s Division, albeit with a lower tone than many of their colleagues (and coworkers) before them. Again the start is slow, but not for long. The two are really hard on each other, especially when Rhea smashes her opponent’s face in with lots of bodyscissors and laughs in her face! Charlotte still has a ways to go…and reverses a Riptide into a DDT! Only count two! Then try the moonsault and enjoy a German superplex that you can’t get enough of! Then back to attack… natural selection! not yet! Rhea leads again…Back Suplex Facebuster! The queen resists!
What a match! The champion tries another moonsault, but it KICKS OUT! Referee Jessica Carr, avoid getting overwhelmed and… Riptide! Charlotte is saved! Then she gets stuck in a prison lock, but she finds the ropes! But Rhea has to find the right moment. It will come! REPTIDE! RHEA RIPLEY is the new SmackDown Champion After a match to remember! Judgment Day is a fitting and extravagant celebration for the Horsewoman.
– Austin Theory’s Brief Interview for Byron Saxton’s Microphones: America’s Defiant Champion turns to John Cena and tells him that he’s been able to convince him.
– The Miz and Snoop Dogg return to the ring: First reports that tonight’s attendance at Sophie Stadium is exactly 80,497. The well-known rapper answers that only one small detail can improve the evening: if the same miss fights in a match. So he announces an open challenge…AND INTRODUCING PAT MCAFEE! However, the WrestleMania 39 host responded that he would not be able to fight and that he would be dressed for the ceremony and not in battle attire. Snoop then brings up the diameter of the Grand Slam champion’s jewelry, which finally gives in. It’s after his turn heel in 2010 (when, among other things, he literally idolized The Miz) that unleashes Michael Cole’s irrepressible enthusiasm.
– Singles Match: Pat McAfee vs. The Miz
This interlude gives the audience a breather and a good miss that attracts half of California’s jeering. And that: De Senton via Atomico a few minutes later (also thanks to his friend’s intervention George Kittlefootball player for the San Francisco 49ers), and Pat McAfee won a match no one knew they wanted to see.
From fear to glory to tears
– Musical moment: Lil Uzi Vert performs a song. ENOUGH, GIVE ME THE MAIN EVENT!!!
– Tag Team Match for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship: The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn
Introduced by Lil Uzi Vert, the champions enter and then the challengers do nothing to hide their immense emotions. Finally we leave: Zayn and Jimmy are legal, but the latter immediately gives Jay the tag. The Samoans try to slow down, but Sami bites the former partners. He quickly gets in trouble, but targets Owens who immediately looks to shut down Jey with a Frog Splash… and it’s not enough. Friend and Countryman then try again with a brainbuster and an atomic senton.
However, as time goes on, the Usos grow, and they first bully Sami with the 1D, a taunting helluva kick, and an Xpoder suplex, then focus on Kevin with superkicks. This gives Jain time to regain his strength, When a fisherman is crushed by a disaster avalanche! Zayn is ready in the corner! Tags!!! Here comes a helluva kick on Jain! It’s not over… and a helluva kick! Owens avoids trouble by pinning Jimmy with a stunner…IT’S OVER AND JAY WILL NOT WAKE UP!!! 1, 2, 3, Owens & Zayn are the Tag Team Champions!!!!!
An unforgettable Night 1 of WrestleMania 39 comes to a close, with the two Canadians all partying up tears for their extraordinary win in the main event. Here’s the “I should be sleeping” menso multi-tasking, greeting you and giving you an appointment. The next report and I wish all wrestling fans tomorrow night is as good as it ended. If so, let’s see the good ones!
