Using an archive of personal letters and source materials provided by the Mudd Library at Princeton University, as well as original research, the series charts Hobby’s glory days as the nation’s best college hockey and football player, his post-graduate boredom in Gilded Age New York City, and his exploits as a fighter pilot in World War I , which ended tragically in a mysterious crash in 1918. Beyond Hobby’s adventures on the ice and in the air, the podcast also recontextualizes the hockey legend through the lens of his lesser-known team. Known struggles as an eccentric man in the early twentieth century.

Duchovny, like Becker, was a Princeton alumnus.
