Thursday 24 November starting at 11 o’clock in the hall G.Mazzocchi of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Piacenza will host the meeting open to the public “Science on the plate”, which will see the intervention of the pastry chef Eugenio Massari and his daughter Deborah (entrepreneur and graduate of Cattolica di Piacenza).
The open lesson, promoted by the Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences, is an interdisciplinary event, as Professor Eduardo Fornari explains: «an appointment we imagined to discuss the most important issues that characterize the food sector and which, by profession, the Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences is particularly interested in ».
«We will propose to the audience that will follow us some reflections, thanks to the intervention of Director Maro Trevisan, on the challenges that the world of food poses to companies and the reality that surrounds them, from the perspective of the future. And we will do it from the point of view of a microbiologist, Professor Lorenzo Morelli, who will tell us about the main trends in scientific research, together with consumer psychologist Guendalina Graffigna, who will tell us about the consumer’s point of view, his perceptions, his fears, his expectations. The meeting concluded with two exceptional guests, Pastry Chef Eugenio Massari and his daughter Deborah Massari, “who will tell us their point of view regarding the luxury pastry sector and the challenges facing companies in this sector at the present time.” Professor Fornari.
