Simona D’Ambrogio, elected from the Mizan political movement, resigned this morning, Monday, November 6, from the position of municipal councilor for “personal reasons.” As required by regulations, he submitted his resignation to Secretary General Dario Verdesca.
“It was certainly a painful choice – explains the resigned councilor – which I made after months of reflection. Work and family commitments do not allow me to give everything I want and what our city deserves. Although I am outside the council, I remain at the disposal of Mayor Pepe Meloni, and Councilor Auronzo “Capote, and this wonderful team that is at the service of Nardo and the people of Nereto. It has been a beautiful experience, full of work and emotion, for which I am grateful to my traveling companions and compatriots, who have given me the honor and burden to carry out this wonderful mission.”
“Thank you to Simona D’Ambrogio – says Mayor Beppe Meloni – for the contribution she has made in humanitarian and political terms and for her ongoing commitment to the city. Life often calls us to make painful choices and sacrifices that deserve to be understood. Simona remains a resource for politics and the city.”
The Council shall begin replacing the resigned advisor within ten days. Michele Di Tullio will take his place in the Assembly.
