(ANSA) – BERLIN, Feb 15 – French actress Isabelle Hubert has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be able to receive her Life Achievement Award at the Berlin Film Festival: the organizers have announced.
Isabelle Huppert was supposed to receive the award on the sidelines of the Golden Bear competition today at the 72nd Berlin Film Festival, which also hosted a retrospective exhibition of her films. But yesterday she tested positive for the coronavirus and will have to stay in Paris.

This year’s Berlinale, the first major European film festival of the year, has been criticized for not giving up on face-to-face events just as Covid-19 cases are on the rise in Germany.
