The Ice Hockey League took its first steps in the 2023/24 season with the AGM, during which the Vorarlberg Pioneers were admitted to the cross-border league in their own right.
The clubs have confirmed that the new tournament will start on Friday, September 15th. The formula remains unchanged: a 48-day regular season (each team faces its opponents four times for a total of 312 games), played on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The first six seeds qualify directly for the Quarterfinals, the postseason first round picture is complete with the winners of the preliminary heats featuring the formations positioned seventh through tenth. Each round of the Qualifiers is played in a “Best of 7” mode.
