“Writing freed us from the compulsion of horror and allowed us to bring this little leader back to life. He took revenge on Fortuna, making her an eternal character who faces her monster every day without ever dying. He transformed her into a dream and led her to a star invented especially for her, to light up the eyes of the viewer and reassure my heart.” With these words, director Nicolangelo Gelormini reconstructs the work in progress in Fortuna, the film he directed (and wrote with Massimiliano Virgilio) and which will be broadcast on Sunday 25 August on Sky Arte starring Valeria Golino, Pina Turco and Cristina Magnotti (in the role of Fortuna), the film starts from a tragic news story to tell the story of desecrated innocence. The story of Nancy, a shy little girl who lives in an unknown suburb, with her family locked in a sinister silence for some time, who will only be able to confess an unspeakable secret to her two friends who continue to call her Fortuna. The name she does not hear is like his own. The film has been selected for the Rome Film Festival 2020.[Immagine in apertura: Fortuna, Valeria Golino e Cristina Magnotti. Photo Marina Sgamato]
