Unexpected titles, like “Elio,” and other unexpected titles, like the live-action “Lilo & Stitch” or “Frozen 3”: Disney has titles in production through 2027, including originals from Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel Studios
As viewers wait for Moana’s return with Oceana 2, The Mickey Mouse production company, set to release in November, has revealed the titles it will produce and release over the next three years. During the first evening of D23: The Ultimate Event for Disney Fansrevealed the first exclusive content about the most anticipated releases, and wowed audiences with new entries, like “Elio,” unexpected returns, like “Toy Story 5,” and completely unexpected ones, like a live event on “Lilo & Stitch.”
“Our deep connection with fans, forged over a century of storytelling, is stronger than ever,” said Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, during the evening. Avatar: Fish and Ash
The second chapter, “Avatar: The Way of Water,” was received with great enthusiasm, but it earned it four nominations and a statuette at the 2023 Academy Awards for Best Special Effects.
