The Municipality of Bologna, together with the Bologna Football Club and the Bologna Congress Bureau, participated today in Rome in the first workshop organized by FIFA in light of Italy’s official candidacy for the European Football Championship 2032. The initiative organized by FIFA in the stadium Olimpico was used to share information about the five chapters that will make up the nomination: Sustainability, Venues, Mobility, Hospitality, and Legal.
The final handover of the large dossier (which will contain 10 Italian cities to be selected) is scheduled for April 12, 2023, after which UEFA will, in autumn 2023, report for the first time on a double mission: for the 2028 edition and for the 2032 edition.
