It has been reconfirmed government incentives Also when buying new cars in 2023, for all those makes and fuels up to a maximum of 135g CO2/km. This is the second phase of a larger plan, dedicated to the automotive sector, that Draghi’s outgoing government launched last year and is scheduled to last from 2022 to 2030. Thus, taking into account 2023, about 650 million euros will be allocated to finance this maneuver, of which 615 Directly dedicated to individual cars (20 for mini-scooters and 15 for electric commercial vehicles).
The allocated amount will therefore be available from January 1, 2023 until December 31, 2023, unless stocks run out early. But let’s now see how the brackets are divided and which compounds have access to them, with relative deductions.
Auto Incentives 2023: Ranges and Discounts
The classic three-level breakdown also appears in 2023, although the price thresholds have changed for each of them. The three domains are divided as follows:
From zero to 20g CO2/km: 230 million euros
From 21 to 60 g CO2/km: 235 million euros
– from 61 to 135 g CO2 / km: 150 million
For the sake of simplicity, it is the daughter of the power supply subdivision that distinguishes the different models: the first range is mainly for electric cars, the second is for plug-in hybrid cars, and the third (the range that is likely to run out soon) is for fully hybrid, mild hybrid and classic endothermic cars.
How much will each band be deducted?
– from 0 to 20 g CO2 / km: 3,000 € without scrap and 5,000 € with scrap;
– from 21 to 60 g CO2 / km: € 2,000 without scrapping and € 4,000 with scrapping;
– From 61 to 135 g CO2 / km: € 0 without abrasion and 2000 with scrapping (practically only for 75,000 buyers).
But that’s not all: in fact, there is also a price cap beyond which the individual model will not be able to benefit from the incentive. To calculate it, simply base it on the model price list, including options and VAT, but excluding Ipt.
– from zero to 20 g CO2 / km: up to 42,700 euros;
– from 21 to 60 g CO2 / km: up to 54,900 euros;
– from 61 to 135 g CO2 / km: up to 42,700 euros.

In fact, we must remember that there are some “asterisks” so that we can take full advantage of environmental incentives. In the case of scrapping, it means a vehicle with an emissions class of less than 5 euros (from 0 euros to 4 euros), registered in the name of the person who intends to buy or a member of his family, for at least 12 months. Delivery times are the responsibility of the dealer: the incentive will only be considered valid if the vehicle is registered within 270 days (nine months) from the date of the state bonus application and thus from the signing of the purchase contract. The vehicle purchased for which the incentive is requested cannot be sold within 12 months, in the case of a natural person, or 24 months in the case of a rental or car sharing company.
