A Delta Airlines passenger opened one of the plane’s doors last Saturday as the plane was preparing to take off from Los Angeles Airport and landed on the runway via an emergency slide: the police announced today, according to a US media report.
Fear for a Delta Air Lines flight
The man, whose identity was not revealed, was arrested. According to the LAPD, the man ran up to a flight attendant as the plane was heading to the runway and asked her, “What do I do now?” But when told to return to his seat, he fled and opened the hatch before anyone could stop him, activating the plane’s emergency glide.
The pilots stopped the plane immediately. Meanwhile, the man climbs onto the back of a baggage cart, but is stopped by the Delta personnel, who turn him over to the police.
