the plot
During the Civil War, a wounded and trapped soldier finds refuge in an isolated girls’ boarding school, populated only by the principal, the teacher, and five very young students. After being cared for and cared for, the soldier quickly recovers and immediately goes to great lengths with all those women whose isolation made him feel so passionate. Soon rivalries broke out in that improvised harem. The result can only be tragic.
why do you see it Since Sofia Coppola has been a very fortunate director (often undeservingly winning all the festivals she’s in), this one is really at her best, grappling with a story that’s really on her threads, (at the end of college – well, turns in the theater of cruelty) . The 1970 film remake of Clint Eastwood (loved by critics but rejected by audiences) “Deception” was beloved on both sides, for Frances Coppola’s daughter’s ability to unhesitatingly delve into the female universe.
