Rome, November 9. – (Adnkronos) – Integrity Tour 2023, the initiative, now in its ninth edition, promoted by the Lega Serie A, Sportradar and the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo, aims to promote a culture of legitimacy in world football and spread true values. Sports stopped today in Frosinone. In fact, the meeting took place this afternoon with the first team and the Primavera and U-17 teams of Frosinone Calcio. The main goal of this initiative, in which players, coaches and club managers participated, is to educate and train all athletes, from the youngest to the most experienced, about the seriousness of the phenomenon of match-fixing, to combat sports fraud and to ensure the smooth running of competitions.
During the workshop, lawyer Marcello Priscilla, Head of Integrity in Italy at Sportradar AG, explained to members the phenomenon of match-fixing in all its forms, explaining the risks and consequences and profiling the alleged criminals as “fixers”. Who try to implicate football players in sports fraud by any means possible, putting their careers and the credibility of the football system at risk. Priscilla then studied with particular interest the problems related to betting violations and the correct methods of using social media by football players.
