Conversations with Science – Is the ‘Beautiful World’ Still Beautiful?

Dialogues with Science by Telmo Piefani

Four meetings Sunday morning 11.00 in the Virginia Theatre

Global warming, ecological crisis, pandemics, inequality: the relationship between humankind and the Earth appears to be at a tipping point. New technologies, the daughters of human ingenuity and innovation capabilities, will be fundamental to inventing a new world and perhaps making peace with the nature of which we are a part. However, it is also necessary to rethink lifestyles, behaviors, consumer choices, development models, and even care about thinking better.
How do we communicate urgency and spur action without creating panic and driving us into a dangerous spiral of collective disillusionment? To find a way and help better understand the changes taking place, philosopher and evolutionist Telmo Bifani organizes four detailed meetings starting from the most pressing scientific topics and their most pressing narratives: four Sundays in the theater, in November, with scientists and journalists, to bring science closer to citizens and young people in particular.

Dialogues with Science is a project of the Circle of Readers Foundation, partner of Novamont, supported by the Municipality of Novara, in collaboration with nĂ²va, the University of Eastern Piedmont and the Nuovo Teatro Faraggiana Foundation, with the contribution of Monte Rosa Laghi Chamber of Commerce of Alto Piedmont and the sponsorship of Atl – Novara, media partner of La Stampa.
