26th Edition Canadian Gaming Summit – the country’s premier gaming and betting event – is fast approaching and with coveted speakers, panels and a vibrant exhibition floor, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the state of sports betting on the inspiring ‘Sports Betting’ conference track.
A “Sports Race” conference will be held Wednesday, June 14 at the Metro Toronto Convention Center in Toronto. Throughout the day attendees will have access to a variety of informative and motivational panels. Content, creativity and influencers to build brand equity.
A panel examining the impact of legalized single-sport betting in Canada is leading the conference “Sports Betting Across Canada: Navigating the Patchwork of Provincial Rollout.”
Speakers included Duck Hood (Program Director Gaming Modernization, AGCO), Bruce Cockle (Managing Director Canada, Rush Street Interactive) e Mike Matos (Associate, Blake, Cassells & Graydon LLP). Panel Referee Salim Adatia (Vice President, Gaming Labs International) and provinces can adopt different models such as attracting third-party operators and improving existing offerings.
The eagerly-anticipated panel, “Partnerships and Sports – Collaboration between Canadian Teams, Leagues and Sportsbooks,” will examine how open major leagues and sports teams are to working with operators.
The panel will have expert analysis Owen Welsh (Associate Vice President, Sports Betting, Gaming and Innovation, Canadian Football League) Andrew Stokes (Senior Director – Global Partnerships Group, Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment), Aubrey Levy (SVP Content & Marketing, TheScore) e Kuljeet broke down. (Associate Vice President, International Gaming & Data Ventures, NBA). The panel will look at successful partnerships already established between teams and sportsbooks, potential regulatory hurdles they may present, and sports leagues that have yet to be explored.
The final panel of the conference track is “Esports Betting Canada: Investing, Reducing Objection and Unlocking New Audiences”, which will explore the growing fan base and largest source of revenue in the esports world.
The panel will consist of industry experts Melanie Benner (Founder, Manitoba Sports Association), Alex Igelman (CEO, Esports Entertainment), Daniel Sanders (Marketing Director, Luckbox), Alex Gossenko (Chief Product Officer, Data B) and Referee Ng Hai (Envoy of Integrity, ESIC). The panel will discuss the number of successful Canadian sports teams and the challenges of entering a currently unrecognized market, how companies can invest in sports teams and how operators can reduce friction between the worlds of merging.
