The day starts with two wins in four sets at the 2022 Women’s Volleyball World Cup. Canada and Belgium, in fact, won against Thailand and Japan in the fourth set and enter the heart of this second round of the World Championship at the end of two tough clashes. The North Americans, in detail, defeated their Asian rivals 1-3 (19-25, 21-25, 25-23, 22-25) and after winning the first two sets more or less easily, picked up the pace. Especially in the section finals, they were surprised by their rivals in the third set to open everything again at 2-1 with a narrow margin. However, the concentration and determination of the Canadians at key moments was practically flawless in the final of the fourth set. This is the second win of this phase.
A third win in the face of defeat, however, saw the ranked Flemings defeat the Japanese 3-1 (21-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-22). A return to Belgium was necessary to overcome Japan’s opposition, and after winning the first set, the Rising Sun women left something to be desired in terms of the slow reception and the compactness of the sextet in general. Accident in the distance.
