The show, written, directed and performed by Claudia FontanaIn cooperation with Stephen Panzeriis a monologue starring C. Fontana who plays Anna Ponti.
Three months, from the autumnal equinox to the winter solstice, in the very near future, Anna Ponti, an archivist who emigrated to Switzerland, recounts, in a masked narrative, her return to Italy, her country of origin. There are two reasons she’s taking this step: to find her sister, whom she hasn’t seen in years, and to help protect old tomes and artwork that might get lost and destroyed at home.
We are in the year 2027 and Italy is in full civil war; A fierce dictatorship that hunts down imaginary “saboteurs” and oppresses a population disloyal to the regime. But who are the vandals really? Anna will find herself isolated in the castle of Torrechiara, near Parma, without the possibility of communication with the outside world, and with time she will discover who the vandals really are.
He will find himself aware of what is really going on with the new dictatorial regime, and through encounters with the military, witnessing barbarism, conducting searches, and living in a hostile and isolated climate, he will recreate a personal awakening.
