The following student-athletes have been selected to the Washington Post 2023-24 All-Met Boys Hockey Team:

Reed Percon, F., Jr., Landon

Berkun has scored 31 goals and provided 27 assists in 20 matches, and is widely recognized as one of the most dominant players in the region. The forward launched Landon to the highest levels of the region's most competitive leagues, leading the Bears to a repeat Interstate Athletic Conference title while challenging the best the Mid-Atlantic Prep Hockey League had to offer. His skill was matched by his calm leadership in the locker room, where Berkun organized team-building events.

Tucker Forrest, G, Sr., Gonzaga

A 92.5 percent save rate has anchored the Eagles' success. His confidence under pressure was never more evident in their battle against St. John's for the MAPHL title, as Forrest made more than 30 saves to secure the win.

Samuel Hoosier, D., Jr., Wootton

Always the top defensive player in the Maryland Student Hockey League, he had eight hat tricks and led a coordinated back line with impactful play and sharp shooting accuracy.

Carter Johnson, F, Jr., St. John's

Averaging more than two points per league game, his consistency under pressure and effort in the forward preview made him one of the region's top threats for a team that won the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship and was runner-up in the MAPHL.

Conner McCarthy, F, Sr., Georgetown Preparatory School

As a versatile offensive player, McCarthy has put together a stout top line for the Little Hoyas. One of the best scorers in the MAPHL, he distinguishes himself with his ability to create scoring opportunities for his teammates, pass with laser precision, set up rebounds and find a lane through the chaos in front of the net.

Noah Scheinerman, F, Sr., Langley

On a team that hadn't lost in more than two years, he helped inject new energy as the leading scorer in the Northern Virginia Scholastic Hockey League. His fast, physical skating led to the Saxons' third straight title.

Kelly Thompson, D, Sr., St. John's

Thompson used his size and experience to initiate strong physical checks and lead a deep roster. His ability to coordinate defensive strategy in the middle of the game helped secure eight shutouts for the Cadets.

Cameron Westlake, F, Sr., Centennial (Wolves)

With a sniper-like slap shot and clean play that kept him out of the box, Westlake led the MSHL with 54 points. The constant pressure from opposing defenses often forced them to change their strategy.

A fixture in the NVSHL leading the undisputed champions and the most decorated team in the league, Keough has found ways to help his players overcome the pressures of living up to the Saxons' impressive record. He did this by focusing on detail, emphasizing the importance of every pass, rebound, shot and one-on-one. He led his team to its fourth title in six years and a massive winning streak in 34 matches.
