With the arrival of spring, the inhabitants of Castelli Romani reveal their best faces, strengthening their cultural streak and offering visitors a valuable opportunity to discover art, science and history through museum excursion itineraries. The initiative coincides on Saturday, May 11, with a series of events and guided tours in the inspiring villages of Rocca Priora and Rocca di Papa, with free activities and exhibitions for everyone.

Roca Priora: A journey between art and culture

The village of Roca Priora will be the starting point for this wonderful excursion. At 10.00 and 15.00, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the historic center with a guided tour starting from Piazza Zanardelli. This itinerary, which lasts about an hour, will allow you to discover the history and beauty of this ancient village. With a maximum of 25 participants, we recommend booking in advance via email.

At 11.30am and 4.30pm Benedetto Robazza Museum in Rocca Priora Instead it will offer a tactile guided tour of its exceptional collection. This comprehensive approach will allow visitors to directly touch some of the works on display, enriching the experience with a unique sensory journey. Rocca di Papa: discovery of fossil amber

The journey continues to Rocca di Papa, where Earth Science Museum It will open its doors from 11 a.m. for the opening of the exhibition “The Art of Amber, a Journey Between Science and Beauty.” This special event explores the fascinating world of fossil amber, with exhibits and installations that tell the natural story of this organic gemstone.

In addition to the exhibition, the museum will host two conferences exploring the topic of amber and biodiversity. The first, at 11.30, will focus on the role of amber in science and the arts, while the second, at 4.30, will discuss the origins of modern biodiversity during the Cretaceous period. With a maximum capacity of 45 participants per conference, reservations via email are recommended.

The Earth Science Museum will remain open until 8pm, offering a day full of opportunities to discover the world of geology and amber.

To facilitate travel between Roca Priora and Rocca di Papa, the organizers provide a free circular transfer service. The first departure is scheduled for 10am from Roca Priora, with the last flight at 6pm from Roca di Papa, ensuring convenient connectivity between the two locations.
