Canada returns Denis Shapovalo for the first time since 2019, completing a highly competitive squad ahead of the Rakuten Finals Davis Cup quarter-finals scheduled for Malaga (Spa) from Tuesday 22 November. The North Americans will face Germany (without Alexander Zverev) on Thursday 24, while Italy will play their quarter-final against the USA on the same day.

Felix Auger-Aliassime (n.6 in the world), Denis Shapovalov (n.18), Vasal Pospisil, Alexis Galarno and Gabriel Diallo are in the formation available to captain Frank Dancevic.

The outcome of the match between Felix and his partners and the Germans led by Jan-Lennert Struff and Oscar Otte is of great concern to us, as the winning team will face the winners of Italy-USA in the semi-finals on Saturday 26 November.

The other two quarter-finals, at the bottom of the draw, are scheduled for Tuesday November 22 (Australia v Holland) and Wednesday November 23 (Spain v Croatia).

All matches will be broadcast live on Super Tennis and streamed on digital platform SupertennisX.
